Sonisphere, the first ever this year at Knebworth, was amazing.

Buck Cherry opened the show and played to a bunch of happy campers who'd just woken up... so there wasn't much dancing, sadly, but Machine Head totally smoked Limb Biscuit before I made the mistake of eating almost an enitre Dominos pizza by myself, effectively giving me a tummy ache for Alice in Chains.

As to warm up for Metallica I seriously strained my voice when screaming "YOU GUYS FUCKING RULE" at a quiet moment during Avenged Sevenfold's set, to which frontman Matt Shadows replied "Thank you", such is the reason I wet my panties.

Last but definitely never least I think I shattered my neck when head banging way more than is humanly possible to the death-cheating living legend that is James Hetfield, to whom everybody wished a happy birthday at the end of the show.

And so, dear reader, after arriving home at 02:00 in the morning... I am wrecked.
